Ahead of Amarnath Yatra, LG Sinha meets civil society members at SKICC | KNO

Srinagar, Jun 28 (KNO): Ahead of annual Amarnath Yatra, slated to commence on July 3, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday met the prominent members of the civil society at SKICC here to discuss the arrangements that have been put in place for the successful conduct of the pilgrimage. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the meeting commenced at around 5:35 PM and witnessed the participation of several prominent persons, including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Principal Secretary to the LG Mandeep K. Bhandari, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, top police officers, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, V K Bidhuri and others. A total of around 77 civil society members are taking part in the interaction. They represent a cross-section of sectors such as transport, tourism, trade, and social organizations. The meeting, according to the sources, aims to gather feedback and suggestions from stakeholders to ensure smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage. The meeting was on when this report was filed.
